About DConvert
DConvert offers free tools to convert and prepare files for everyday life — merging PDFs, turning photos into documents, adjusting page layout, and more. Your files stay yours.
Our mission
People convert files for practical reasons: submitting homework, emailing a contract, printing photos, or sharing a scan with a colleague. Those files are often personal or confidential. DConvert exists so you can complete these tasks without handing your documents to a remote server or creating yet another online account.
We believe convenience and privacy should not be opposites. A file converter can be easy to use and still respect the sensitivity of what you are working on. That belief shapes every product decision we make.
What DConvert is
DConvert is a collection of focused tools for common file tasks — combining PDFs, splitting a document into parts, compressing a file for email, converting images to PDF, or preparing iPhone photos for wider compatibility.
You open a tool, select your files, adjust settings if needed, and download the result. There is no desktop installer and no mobile app to download.
DConvert is for students, freelancers, and anyone who needs reliable file preparation without subscriptions or usage quotas on everyday tasks.
How we protect your privacy
When you use DConvert, the files you select are processed on your own device. They are not sent to us for conversion. We do not operate a file storage service, and we do not keep a library of your documents.
Because of this design, we generally cannot view, copy, or recover the content you work with. You decide where output files are saved and how long they are kept.
This matters for identity documents, financial records, medical paperwork, unreleased creative work, and family photos. Follow your organisation's policies when handling regulated data.
Tools available today
DConvert currently offers utilities across two broad areas: PDF document tasks and image conversion workflows.
PDF tools include merging multiple files into one, splitting or extracting pages, compressing file size, rotating orientation, reordering or removing pages, password protection, unlocking files when you know the password, and extracting embedded images from a document.
Image and photo tools include converting JPG or PNG images into PDF, exporting PDF pages as images, and converting HEIC photos — common on iPhones and many cameras — into widely compatible JPG files.
We add and refine tools over time based on real-world use. Tool availability may change as we improve quality and reliability.
Free to use
DConvert is free for standard use. You are not required to register, subscribe, or verify an email address before converting files. Output files are delivered without watermarks added by DConvert.
Very large batches or extremely high-resolution files may take longer, the same as any intensive task on your phone or computer.
What DConvert is not
DConvert is not a cloud backup service, a collaborative editing platform, or a long-term archive for your files. We do not sync documents across devices and we do not provide version history.
DConvert is not a password recovery or document forensics service. Tools that remove PDF passwords only work when you already know the correct password.
Results depend on the quality and format of your source files. Severely damaged, incomplete, or mislabeled files may not convert successfully. Where possible, our tools explain likely causes in clear language.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep DConvert available and dependable. We may perform maintenance, update features, or adjust which tools are offered. We may also update these pages to reflect product changes.
Continued use of the site after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised descriptions and policies published here. Material changes to privacy practices are described on our Privacy Policy page.
